We understand that keeping your shower head clean is an important part of preventing water damage and mold growth in your home. Here’s an easy guide on how to keep your shower head clean and sparkling.
Gathering Supplies
Before you begin, you will need some supplies:
- White vinegar
- Plastic bag
- Rubber band or twist tie
- Old toothbrush
- Soft cloth or sponge
Soaking in Vinegar
The first step is to fill a plastic bag with white vinegar and attach it to your shower head. Make sure the entire head is submerged in the vinegar. Secure the plastic bag onto the shower head with a rubber band or twist tie. Let the shower head soak for about 1 hour.
Scrubbing with Toothbrush
After the shower head has had enough time to soak, remove the plastic bag and use an old toothbrush to gently scrub away any remaining dirt or limescale buildup from the head. Make sure there are no bristles left behind after cleaning.
Wipe Down with Soft Cloth
Finally, use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe down the entire surface of your shower head to make sure all debris is gone. Rinse off with warm water and enjoy!
